Biomarine currently has a full time position available for a creative, motivated individual to perform seafood quality inspections, ensure compliance with product specifications, food safety analyses, and sensory and physical evaluations, using industry and government standards.
Responsibilities include communicating with customers; performing sampling, inspections and data collection for seafood and water quality; writing analysis reports; systemizing and maintaining records; maintaining laboratory equipment; ordering supplies; other duties as assigned.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical and mathematical background. Must have the ability to work in refrigerated wharehouse situations and be able to lift 50 lbs. Applicant must be highly motivated and have the desire to expand his/her knowledge of the seafood and water quality industry.
A degree in food or biological science is preferred and a minimum of one year's experience in a seafood inspection, food science or water analysis facility or equivalent required.
